Nin's Sai2 Dupe for CSP and Photoshop
One brush that I use almost religiously for painting (especially in CSP EX) is my Sai2 Dupe
In 2020 I switched from working solely in Sai2 to working in CSP EX and I couldn't find the right brush to get the feel and style of painting that I harnessed in the prior years (and this was prior to the 2021 version 1.10.10 brush feature update (csp allowing to upload and use abr files)).
So I made this brush (NinSai2 Brush.sut) ! And so far I've been able to get a similar feeling without needing to rely on only one program or constantly switch programs to get the right kind of look!
Above you will see:
- how the brushes look in use (1= the og sai brush, 2= my first dupe, 3= the abr version for photoshop without any additonal edits)
- the settings to use to convert the unedited abr file (called Sai2 Brush 1) found in the PS Default + Nin brush.abr pack, into the usable version (or you can use it as is!).
- a painting example made entirely in CSP EX with the dupe
or, use the Sai2 Brush.png to use the custom brush tip but create your own brushes from it!
Remember: .sut = CSP EX and Sai2 / .abr = Photoshop
The .SUT file + .ABR file containing the brush in its raw, unedited, form (+ edited version for your toggling pleasure). You will also get the Brush tip PNG file to use and make your own brushes with or combine for textured fun!
